Town of Oakville Advisory Committees or Boards

About the Application and Selection Process

Applications for appointment to an advisory committee or board are submitted to the Clerk’s department for review.

All applications are then submitted to the Administrative Services Committee, which is comprised of six members of Council and the Mayor, for consideration.

The Administrative Services Committee may decide to interview applicants, after which recommendations for appointments are forwarded to Council for approval.

If an interview is required it will be held in the evening, Monday through Friday, and notification will be sent through email.

All applicants will be advised of Council’s final decision.

Applications will be kept on file for the term of Council (2014 - 2018).

Should a vacancy occur on a committee or board during the Council term, the applications on file will be reconsidered.

Applications are available in alternate format upon request.
