Reporting to the North Gas Maintenance Lead, this position is responsible for assisting with the organization and management of the CMMS (Maximo), for providing technical support on maintenance activities to the field, and for developing and tracking maintenance KPIs for the business.  This position will support all the North Gas Facilities.  The position will be located in the Fort St John, BC Office, frequent travel to the facilities will be required.  Preference will be giving too candidate’s that reside in the Fort St John, BC area.


Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Execute maintenance and reliability strategies for the North Gas Division Operations
  • Assist with managing the work order and maintenance tracking systems
  • Provide technical support to operations engineering and field operations with respect to the execution of maintenance activities
  • Prioritize maintenance related tasks to ensure activities are completed in a cost effective manner
  • Responsible for communication and support of work orders issued to field operations in a timely manner
  • Utilize the Maximo system to the full capabilities
  • Implement preventive maintenance systems & corrective maintenance tracking
  • Assist with creating a critical parts inventory & ensure inventory is managed to minimize downtime
  • Schedule & manage third party maintenance service providers, track & control costs
  • Provide support to procurement group regarding purchasing of maintenance parts
  • Assist with planning turnaround activities for maintenance at the facilities
  • Review and input maintenance records into Maximo
  • Assist with building a bill of materials for parts related to PM’s on facility equipment
  • Assist maintenance department with ordering and purchasing parts for facility equipment



  • 5+ years of related maintenance, operation experience
  • Experience with CMMS – Maximo preferred but not required
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
