Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Asset Management, this position is responsible for the effective and strategic business management of AltaGas Gas Division facilities to optimize value, revenue, and throughput for AltaGas, joint venture partners, and customers with a focus on growth of gas processing and NGL opportunities aligned with corporate and divisional objectives.


Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Generate, update, and execute Area/Facility Development Plans aligned with AltaGas’s long-term strategic plan
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders with respect to the overall business operations for a facility or facilities
  • Work closely with the facility Operations Manager to ensure facility activities are appropriately managed, justified, and communicated to affected customers
  • Manage, maintain, and grow customer relationships
  • Ensure effective management of customer and /or joint venture relationships including short and long term communication, coordination, and dispute resolution
  • Identify and pursue business efficiencies in alignment with Operations and other internal stakeholders
  • Provide budget and outlook support for facility revenue streams
  • Work closely with the area or facility Financial Analyst to ensure throughput, fee, or other revenue related issues are communicated internally and externally as required and included in the facility outlook
  • Support and evaluate Business Development and/or NGL marketing opportunities as they relate to facilities
  • Work in alignment with Gas & NGL Marketing teams to ensure contracts are properly administered and value is maximized
  • Provide direction, leadership, and support to Commercial Representatives and Analysts in the analysis of facility or customer data gathering to support facility/area development plans, strategic alignment and day to day business administration
  • Work in alignment with Commercial Representative, delegating area tasks while providing general mentorship and support



  • Relevant university degree in Business or Engineering
  • 10 – 15 years of Operations, Commercial, or Business Development experience in the Gas or NGL processing industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Venture contract management
  • Strong communication and customer management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated individual able to work independently and as a team player
