Reporting to the Divisional Vice President Power Commercial and Optimization, this position is responsible for all aspects of the Commercial and Industrial business with aim of growing corporate earnings by leveraging corporate assets and capabilities to provide world class energy marketing and invoicing system services to end users.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Commercial and Industrial team to deliver on earnings objectives by developing and managing direct reports capable of producing agreed deliverables. Plan for staffing and succession
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic plan for Commercial and Industrial business in alignment with corporate objectives. Provide oversight for development of marketing plan
  • Ensure profitability of the Commercial and Industrial business through management of financial activities including product offerings, price modelling, risk analysis, payables, receivables, and deal execution processes
  • Provide oversight to information technology resources to ensure that systems evolve to meet strategic growth objectives and to ensure business is executed efficiently, reported accurately and that services are delivered in a way that exceeds customer expectations
  • Ensure business is conducted in alignment with relevant legislation and corporate policy including internal governance, risk, credit, legal, and code of business ethics parameters
  • Ensure industry leading customer service for high renewal rates and new business referrals
  • Develop and maintain key government, industry, and channel partner relationships
  • Leverage customer relationships into infrastructure investment opportunities


  • University degree with experience related to position (BComm, CA, P.Eng, BMan)
  • Experience in sales, marketing, management information systems, retail energy, commodity marketing, and regulatory compliance
  • 10-15 years in energy, IT systems
