The Project Manager (PM) is accountable to the head of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and is responsible for the overall success of the project, from engineering through construction and turnover to operations.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead Project from active work locations including AltaGas head office, and construction site
  • Communicating and reporting to stakeholders
  • Managing the project budget and schedule
  • Controlling the project change management process
  • Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risk
  • Providing the necessary leadership and accountability to the team achieve project goals and objectives
  • Setting reasonable and clear expectations for the project team, holding them accountable for meeting those expectations, and providing performance feedback to team members


  • 15+ years of experience managing projects relating to oil, gas or power projects
  • 5+ years as lead project manager on projects with scope over $200 million
  • Recognized diploma in Project Management Planning an asset
  • Experience in managing internal and external vendors and resources
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Good communication skills
