Reporting to the Manager of Gas Control, the Senior Scheduler works to support reliable, efficient and collaborative relationships with AltaGas Ltd. external and internal customers. 

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage daily and monthly scheduling, reconciling, nominating, and actualizing of various pipeline accounts on the NGTL, Enbridge Westcoast Energy, ATCO and Alliance pipeline systems.

  • Monthly Balancing of Transmission Assets

  • Anticipate and respond to customer (external and internal) requests and/or inquiries in an efficient manner

  • Weekend and/or on call duties (such as the buying or selling of gas) as required, to keep accounts in balance

  • Provide accurate and timely physical buy/sell position information to the trader

  • Required hours as follows: 6:15AM-3:00PM

  • Deadline driven environment, hours may vary to meet deadlines


  • 3 to 5 years of direct experience in gas control with a strong knowledge of the Western Canadian pipeline systems and natural gas industry

  • A post-secondary education or equivalent work experience is required

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and PC proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is critical

  • Work well in a fast paced, high performing team environment
