Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner, this position is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and managing of client groups and their staffing and transactional needs.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver full cycle new hire and transactional staffing support and solutions including but not limited to:
    • Resume screening
    • Prescreen and in-person interviewing
    • Reference checking
    • Drafting and issuing offers
    • Onboarding, including data entry for new hires
  • Develop and execute appropriate sourcing strategies to fill designated vacancies in a timely, consistent and cost effective manner.
  • Oversee and manage transactions required for the division’s contractor workforce Develop and manage relationships with internal clients as well as with the candidate network.
  • Continuously develop the applicant base and generate applicant referrals through leveraging and maintaining wide networks, e.g., with internal and industry contacts, networking groups and community and professional associations.
  • General administrative duties including preparing word documents, spreadsheets, labels, scanning/circulation filing
  • Participates in special projects and other duties as required


  • Minimum 4-5 years’ full-cycle recruitment experience
  • University degree or equivalent
  • HR or recruitment specialist designations (CPHR, RPR) considered an asset
  • Good generalist knowledge of a number of different functional areas with a focus on the engineering and operations-related areas
  • Good knowledge of the Canadian labor market
  • Advanced networking skills and a proven ability to work with people at all levels and to build strong relationships with candidates as well as internal colleagues
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple staffing projects simultaneously and with a strong sense of urgency
  • Superior organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic with an enthusiastic professional approach and ability to work independently
  • Flexible and a team player
  • JDE and Taleo experience considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
