Currently AltaGas is constructing a propane export facility that is located approximately 10 km south of Prince Rupert, on Ridley Island.  The Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal (RIPET) will receive, store and ship propane for transport to Asia and other markets.


AltaGas, is looking for an Administrative Coordinator with a safety culture mindset and interest in future employment at the Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, this position is responsible for maintaining the proficient and seamless Operation of the RIPET Office and Warehouse. The incumbent will be charged with maintaining organization, accuracy and excellent communication. This position is located in Prince Rupert, BC.


Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Safety administrative support: Collection and distribution of minutes, coordinating Safety courses, enter Safety statistics and tracking corrective action plans
  • Expense / P-Card Reports: Coding, compiling receipts and submission
  • Cost Tracking: Tracking PO costs, invoices, P-Card transactions
  • Formatting of letters, memos, and spreadsheets
  • Warehouse administrative support: Assist in organization, packaging, shipping and receiving
  • Maintain inventory for Warehouse and Tool Crib
  • Tracking, data entry and coordination of documentation required for shipping and receiving
  • Vehicle fleet Support: Assist in scheduling maintenance and tracking mileage
  • Retrieving mail, courier, and picking up materials/supplies
  • Microsoft Office expertise and assistance
  • Event and tour coordinating
  • Order safety clothing, equipment and office supplies as required
  • Co-ordinate support services for employees such as IT, Payroll and Benefits


  • Minimum grade 12 education; post-secondary training considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Microsoft Office program training
  • Office Administration and customer service experience
  • Excellent computer & customer skills             
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a Heavy Industrial setting. Natural gas liquids or gas processing experience would be an asset.
  • Shipping and Receiving experience considered an asset
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Maximo and/or Halogen programs considered an asset
