How do you fit in?

AltaGas requires an enthusiastic, proactive, innovative and motivated individual to join our Team at the Edmonton Ethane Extraction Plant. Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, this position will support the maintenance activities at the facility. This position requires the successful incumbent to work 06:15-16:45 Monday to Thursday each week.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Utilizing the Maximo Maintenance software system to the full capabilities. 
  • Performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance repair to all Pneumatic and Electrical Field Instrumentation for safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation
  • Assisting with managing a critical parts inventory to minimize downtime of facility equipment.
  • Assisting with managing third party maintenance service providers to ensure costs are tracked and controlled
  • Provide support to procurement group regarding purchasing of maintenance parts and equipment
  • Maintenance, calibration and repair to all Custody Transfer Meters and associated equipment according to manufactures’ specifications and Industry Practice
  • Maintains compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Company policies, safety and environmental standards
  • Assist with turnaround planning and execution activities for maintenance at the facility
  • Has a strong focus on safety and increasing safety culture
  • Provide Maintenance Assistance for other Plant Trades People
  • Work with Operations to ensure effective job planning
  • Update maintenance procedures as required
  • Conduct Maintenance and other critical tasks
  • Oversee and direct contract maintenance personnel
  • Other duties deemed necessary for the safe and effective operation of EEEP

 

What you must have:

  • Certified Alberta Instrument Technician Journeyman
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • 2 - 5 years gas plant-based experience
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, CPR, Confined Space Entry certifications
  • Computer knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Project management
  • Strong mechanical background considered an asset
  • Distributed Control System Maintenance, training & experience

 

Where you’ll be working:

The Edmonton Ethane Extraction Plant (EEEP) is located within the city limits in south Edmonton, Alberta. EEEP is a gas extraction straddle plant with a gross production capacity of 23,000 Bbls/d of specification ethane and 7,500 Bbls/d of natural gas liquids (NGLs). It is connected to several pipeline systems, which provides the opportunity for valuable liquids such as ethane, propane, and butane to be processed for commercial and industrial use.
