As a Historian, The Arts and Military History, you are knowledgeable, articulate, adaptable, collaborative, and congenial; you bring an artistic perspective to the study of military history

What You’ll Do:

  • Curate exhibitions
  • Plan and conduct substantive research
  • Collaborate in collections development and support programs and public initiatives
  • Communicate research results to various audiences through a variety of media
  • Lead, influence and inform other, in support of corporate priorities

What we are looking for :

  • A Master’s degree (minimum) or Doctoral degree (preferred) in the requisite disciplines or an equivalent combination or experience and education.
  • Complex and extensive research on Canadian military history
  • Scholarly communications and research dissemination, including print and non-print publications
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary or team-based working environment
  • Knowledge of Canadian military history, the general history of war and armed conflict and Canadian history
  • Knowledge of popular and professional artistic responses to war that document Canadian military history and military history, including the visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, and literature

Compensation: (E7P) $ 68,248 to $ 84,660

Status: Temporary Full-time Position (# 9718) 18-month term with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency

Workplace: 1, Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario

Language: BBC imperative

Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability
