Description

The Canadian Red Cross is looking for a Director, Training Partner Engagement with particular focus on developing high performing teams across Canada. The role will also drive continuous process improvement and implement various strategies to exceed customer satisfaction.

 

Reporting to the Vice-President, Commercial Operations, the Director, Training Partner Engagement will bring vision and direction to the Training Partner Development stream of the Prevention and Safety Department of the Canadian Red Cross. Promoting national shared vision of service excellence and a customer-centric approach, driving the implementation of long-term, integrated, diversified plans which will support the growth & development of the First Aid, Swimming & Water Safety Programs.

 

The Director, TP Engagement will be a part of the Senior Leadership Team for Prevention and Safety and will be accountable for the effective and efficient operations of the TP Engagement team. The position will follow all CRC policies for Budgeting, Enterprise Risk Management and Quality framework.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the planning and target setting process with focus on maximum growth in market

  • Develop and lead team in implementing strategies to generate maximum growth across all markets

  • Develop optimum Training Partners metrics (Quality and Number of Partners) in all geographies for maximum market penetration

  • Oversight of the Training Partner Engagement team, including target setting and performance management.

  • Work collaboratively with People Services on workforce planning to ensure proper structure and establish and maintain staffing levels to meet business needs.

  • Implement and reinforce consistent culture that balances excellent customer experience with organizational needs and priorities, within TP Development, through capacity building of the management team.

  • Develop and implement systems and processes that support remote work and builds collaboration over distance.

  • Ensure team is provided with necessary tools and training to implement all growth strategies.

  • To encourage and provide opportunities for professional development for all team members to enhance and strengthen our customer service culture.

  • Act as TP engagement as requested for quality assurance issues. Collaborates with the QA dept. to Ensure compliance with all contracts, agreements, considering legal advice when appropriate.

  • Ensures all personnel participate in required orientation, training and receive appropriate recognition.

  • To work collaboratively with P& S Leadership team, Geographical VP’s, and Finance to establish and achieve annual training targets and budgets.

  • To provide quarterly reports for provincial VP’s that highlight successes and identify opportunities for collaboration and/or support.

  • To provide monthly variance reporting and projections as required.

  • To ensure P & S Vice President is informed of significant opportunities risks, and challenges identified by TP Engagement.

  • To work with Business Development to ensure strategies, programs, systems, packaging and pricing will support financial growth and sustainability.

  • To ensure fulfillment of all Major Account Solutions (MAS) contracts according to TOR provided.

  • Provides leadership to developing short and long-term business plans to support the FAWSS program goals.

  • Participate in all PS leadership team planning, monitoring and evaluation.

  • Ensures the needs of Training Partners and industry trends are incorporated into all planning.

  • To support all initiatives to gather feedback and research from our Training Partner network.
     

We’re looking for:

  • Post-secondary education in, social sciences or business.

  • 10 years of related experience, and or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in developing and managing remote teams.

  • Knowledge of Prevention and Safety programs and standards

  • Knowledge of current trends in operational leadership

  • Demonstrated success in relationship building with third parties.

  • Experience leading cross team projects and demonstrated success in successful change implementation.

  • Demonstrated competency leading and working collaboratively with teams and colleagues at all levels of the organization.

  • Some Lean Six Sigma qualifications would be an asset.

  • Professionalism, credibility and exceptional interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team and establish and manage productive internal and external relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Aptitude and commitment to work towards the competencies of CRC’s Leadership Framework

  • Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment balancing the expectations and needs of both the functional and professional teams.

  • Strong customer service orientation and planning, organization, priority setting and negotiation skills to manage multiple, competing priorities

  • Computer and numerical literacy, comfort working with CRM data bases, metrics and applicant tracking systems

  • Fluency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is essential; fluency in French is highly desirable

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

  • Certification as a Canadian Red Cross First Aid or Water Safety Instructor Trainer.

  • Strong facilitation skills

 

Working Conditions

 

The majority of the work is performed in typical office environment. Meetings and supervision may be in person, by telephone or through other electronic means. Domestic and International travel may be required.
