Intermediate Civil/Water Resources Engineer

Description

KCB Consultants Ltd. (KCBCL) is looking for an Intermediate Civil/Water Resources Engineer to support the growth of our Mining Environmental Group office located in Phoenix. KCBCL is the US subsidiary of Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd., an internationally recognized engineering and geoscience consulting company. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized and accountable individual with a strong technical background who is good at communicating technical topics, both spoken and written, and is driven to provide high-quality water resources related services and build sustained client relationships. The current focus of KCBCL’s Phoenix office is on mine waste and water management. Our clients are some of the largest mining companies in the world.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • join a dynamic company of motivated and hardworking professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and environmental services
  • work on mine waste and water management projects from concept to closure
  • collaborate with senior staff to lead technical aspects of challenging projects
  • plan and execute site investigations and construction quality assurance
  • coordinate and execute project management duties including budget management and scheduling
  • develop, train and mentor junior staff
  • work with our team of world recognized engineers

 

As an Intermediate Civil/Water Resources Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience, you have a firm grasp on surface water management and water resource engineering concepts and experience applying these concepts to practice. We value your:

  • demonstrated experience in: hydrologic/climate analysis; hydraulic design of dams, channels, etc.; water balance modeling; dam breach and inundation modeling; civil construction; and, planning and executing site investigations
  • project management skills, commensurate with your years of experience
  • high-quality verbal and written communication skills
  • interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team


Authorization to work in the United States, travel internationally, and registration as a Professional Engineer in the United States, or eligibility to register, are requisites.
