Junior Civil/Water Resources Engineer

Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd (KCB) is looking for a Junior Civil/Water Resources Engineer to support in the growth of our Mining Environmental Group’s Fredericton office. KCB is an internationally recognized engineering and geoscience consulting company.

We are looking for a self-motivated, organized and accountable individual who is good at communicating technical topics, both spoken and written, and is driven to provide high-quality engineering services and build sustained client relationships. The current focus of KCB’s Fredericton office is on mine waste and water management. Our clients are some of the largest mining companies in the world.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Join a dynamic company of motivated and hardworking professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and environmental services
  • Work on mine waste and water management projects from concept to closure
  • Collaborate with project staff on technical aspects of challenging projects
  • Execute site investigations and provide construction quality assurance
  • Apply your knowledge of hydrology, civil and hydrotechnical engineering concepts to complex mining projects
  • Work with our team of world recognized engineers

As a Junior Civil/Water Resources Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience, you have a firm grasp on surface water management and water resource engineering concepts and are keen to apply these concepts to practice. We value your:

  • Strong academic performance in an accredited civil/water resources undergraduate or graduate level program
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering practice
  • Interest in developing your field experience, including work on remote sites
  • High-quality verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to communicate in French is a definite asset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team

Authorization to work in Canada, travel internationally, and eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in New Brunswick once adequate experience is gained, are requisites.
