Commercial Properties Limited has been developing and managing properties in Eastern Canada for over fifty years. We offer high quality premises, great locations, and focus strongly on tenant service.  Our specialties include professional offices as well as industrial and retail real estate.  We have completed projects over the recent past that we feel have made a difference in the communities we serve.  Going forward, Commercial Properties will continue to focus on developing properties in a prudent manner as well as making select acquisitions of existing buildings to grow our portfolio and add value for the shareholders.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, the General Manager will be responsible for running the business and managing operations to a high standard while ensuring profitability.  The General Manager will manage the Company’s Finance, Operations, and Maintenance Departments as well as oversee Capital Projects.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and success of the business’ strategic growth plan.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the business operation to achieve Company goals and growth plan.
  • Manage a senior team in the functional areas of leasing, administration, marketing, finance, capital projects and maintenance.
  • Oversee the delivery of the annual operating budget, monthly reporting, and capital planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve cash flow objectives and maximize the asset value.
  • Maintain a high level of quality in the assets and the level of service provided to our customers, the tenants.
  • Manage, evaluate, and negotiate vendor contract requirements and establish performance specifications.
  • Oversee the protection and care of assets and building improvement projects.
  • Understand the markets where we do business.
  • Represent the Company and build strong business relationships with current and future tenants.

  • Persuasive leader with financial acumen and a passion for performance results.
  • Strong management capabilities with a proven track record of high performance
  • Dynamic communicator, comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization, as well as with business owners who are also tenants.
  • Conceptual thinker and able to navigate ambiguity, assess and analyze critical information for decision making and to ensure the data is telling is clearly understood.

 

Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years management and operations experience.
  • Proven track record of managing successful businesses.
  • The right candidate will have a blend of education and experience.

 

In addition, the following skills are considered assets:

Commercial real estate experience is certainly an asset but is not a requirement for the position.
