We are seeking an experienced Shipping Foreman for our steel fabrication plant in Saint John, New Brunswick. Foremen are responsible for the overall supervision of machine operators, welders, fitters and general labourers.
We are looking for a professional, direct yet collaborative communicator to prepare, assign and oversee the work of 4 to 6 unionized employees whose experience varies from first year apprentices to Journeypersons as well as plan and coordinate with transportation subcontractors. Faced with a variety of challenges everyday, a successful foreman is able to juggle all the conflicting issues and come to a quick and efficient solution to each one.
