SUMMARY

The Accounting/Reporting Assistant reports to the Accounting/Reporting Manager II and provides support in all areas of financial management including audits, accounts receivable, and general accounting. This job also provides support to the other staff in the areas of accounting and financial reporting

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will support the project delivery group by approving budget, and preparing reconciliations

  • Works closely with the Accounting / Reporting Manager, and project delivery to compile and analyze data for budgets, and ad hoc reporting

  • Gather support for audit purposes

  • Set up Accounts Receivable and Receipts Journal Voucher and upload to Oracle

  • Prepare spreadsheet for monthly A/R revenues and receipts

  • Participate in the billing and month end processes (entries, verification that data is accurate)

  • Provide additional support to Accounting / Reporting Managers as required for budgets, data entry, and special requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

Description

MINIMUM EDUCATION: University, Bachelor in Administration with a specialty in Accounting or Bachelor in Accounting

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: More than one year up to three years

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of accounting and computer systems with 1-3 years’ experience

  • Customer service skills

  • Able to work well independently and be a team player

  • Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail

  • Written and verbal communication skills, French and English

  • Ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance

  • Developed Problem solving skills

  • Strong Excel skills

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • In process of CPA designation
