CMLS Financial is looking for a Bilingual Funder, Residential Mortgages, to work closely with the Toronto residential underwriting and sales teams throughout Canada to fund mortgages originated through our broker network. The Bilingual Funder will prepare and send instructional packages to solicitors, along with supporting documentation, and remain a point of contact until the file is complete and funded. The ideal candidate will ensure the “Know Your Client” legislation is adhered to on all files, work directly with the solicitor to obtain any outstanding documentation, and review and adhere to company funding procedures and legal guidelines to ensure that all information is accurate and complete prior to releasing mortgage funds. You will have detailed knowledge of the residential mortgage industry, conditions management and regulatory compliance, and demonstrate sound decision-making skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
This role is for you if...
You are fluent in both English and French (both written and spoken)
You have 2 or more years of experience within the mortgage industry (residential mortgage funding experience is strongly preferred) and a post-secondary education
You have a working knowledge of residential mortgage legal documentation
You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work well independently as well as within a team environment
You possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability at all times
You are technology savvy and are proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
