About the Role

This Boilermaker role is offered as Monday - Friday shifts of either a 5/6am-5pm day shift or 5pm-5am nightshift available, plus alternate Saturdays. All the hours of FIFO - but home everyday!

Reporting to the Boilermaker Supervisor, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on heavy earth moving equipment and perform the following duties:

  • Ongoing repairs and maintenance of a variety of mobile mining equipment;
  • Bucket repairs and general fabrication;
  • Tray work and wear packages;
  • Large boom and stick rebuilds
  • Arc air gouging and welding flux core;
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets; and
  • Field service work if required.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Significant post-trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi;
  • A strong commitment to safety, health and the environment, with a proactive approach to housekeeping;
  • Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification;
  • Current Driver’s license;
  • Applicants holding current Working at Heights and High Risk Licenses highly regarded;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution focus;
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team;
  • A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship; and
  • The successful candidates may also be required to complete inductions, will be required to be medically fit and able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
