The Role:

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Estimator Planner to join our talented team in Port Hedland. You will be a Port Hedland resident who takes pride in producing high quality work and ownership of their remit. Applicants should be solutions focused and be able to communicate confidently and clearly across all levels.

In addition the  Estimator Planner will be responsible for:

  • Working independently in the preparation of detailed, accurate and timely estimates for our diverse range of projects;
  • Identify and produce estimated costs for maintenance and fabrication jobs;
  • Assist with compilation of tender documents;
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure offsite repairs are managed and controlled to budget;
  • Scheduling projects ready for build; and
  • Assist with progress reports including MS Project Gaant charts & S-Curve charts for major workshop repair work.

To be considered for this role you will need the following:

  • A trade back ground in HME industry;
  • Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification in mobile plant (desirable);
  • Diploma / Certificate in Project Management  (desirable) ;
  • A sound knowledge of Caterpillar (and Komatsu) heavy earth moving mobile plant;
  • Have a sound working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project & CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System);
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Ability to manage and resolve multiple issues / problems;
  • Good time management skills, ability to plan and forecast; and
  • Ability to delegate tasks as required.
