Gather and compile operational and financial information on a monthly and quarterly basis and prepare various reports for different users (vs. budget, forecasts, prior year, targets);
Build tools to analyse results, analyse data and produce monitoring reports to ensure data quality;
Coordinate, plan and support the financial planning process (budgets, forecasts) for the Shopping Centers business unit;
Develop easy-to-use KPI monitoring and projection tools and a dashboard to support the decision-making process and to track and analyse KPIs on a regular basis;
Build financial models to project results, analyse results, monitor the progress towards set goals and investigate variances;
Propose improvements in the analyses and processes under his or her responsibility;
Ensure the adequate allocation of administrative and other expenses to the business unit (actual and budget);
Assist with the implementation of new operational accounting systems;
Become the subject matter expert for budget, Power BI, support and train new users with these softwares;
Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed;
Establish and maintain solid business relationships with other departments.
Recognized professional accounting and/or finance designation (CPA, CFA, MBA with a finance background, Masters);
Minimum six years of experience in budgeting and in the development and tracking of KPIs and other measurements/tools;
Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, interpret and synthesize complex information;
Strategic, innovative, big-picture thinking and superior problem solving skills;
Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and deadline-driven;
Ability and desire to work under pressure within a changing work environment, while simultaneously managing multiples files and requests;
High energy with a positive attitude;
Experience in financial modeling, especially in the real estate industry, is an asset;
Fluently bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);
Solid computer skills with Power BI;
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency;
Knowledge of Argus, Global Fund and JD Edwards, an asset.
