Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and working in conjunction with the QA/QC Manager and the Project Coordinators, the QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for implementation of the Quality Control and Assurance Programs.
This position is located in Sudbury, Ontario on a client site.

Administer and manage Document Control.
Implement and maintain quality program for successful project delivery.
Ensure successful planning of project quality functions and application of quality program to satisfy requirements of contract documents and company standards.
Liaison with jurisdictional authorities, third party inspectors and outside agencies/organizations as necessary.
Maintain a library of up-to-date codes, standards, etc. as stated in contract documents and the QA/QC manual.
Ensure quality program is communicated and administered efficiently and effectively.
Provide technical assistance to company personnel in the application of quality program and client specification requirements.
Oversee corrective action required from audit findings to a satisfactory conclusion.
Reduce both project and business risk through development and enforcement of the quality program, including the implementation of new processes or procedures and recommendations for the development of new initiatives.
Prepare and present training to project delivery personnel on QA/QC program.
Understand the Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) developed for each project.
Coordinate the audit/inspection program, collect results and identify trends.
Coordinate, prepare, complete required documentation in support of quality programs and ensure they are in compliance with contract documents and quality program.
Recommend changes to quality program based on emerging trends, legislation, techniques, and professional expertise.
Recommend training and development of new and existing employees as identified through the audit/inspection program.
Work closely with the Project Coordinators in each of the divisions and project teams to continuously improve employee skills as well as project delivery and business processes as they relate to quality.

Undergraduate diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with audit processes including audit training, preparing reports and carry out corrective actions
Knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices, codes, regulations and statutes
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of quality programs
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
Strong written and oral communication skills
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
