We are currently looking for talented individuals to join our team and are accepting applications for three (3) Schedulers at our site projects in the Nisku and Edmonton, Alberta area. We offer competitive wages and comprehensive benefits and are looking to hire immediately!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and progress construction schedules for all aspects of construction
  • Assist the Project Controls team on any required in-depth quantity studies, and interpretation of the field quantities as applied to scheduling activities
  • Calculate rules of credit in order to progress task based activities that are resource loaded.
  • Verifies quantities by executing a full project takeoff of required documents, interpret specifications and addendums, and calculate the total amount of materials needed to progress a project
  • Assist and contribute in the preparation of progress and historical reporting
  • Work closely with Project Manager, Cost Engineers and Cost Estimators, to ensure that project controls deliverables are met.
  • Effectively communicate all issues and concerns to the relevant stakeholder groups
  • Act as a role model at all times through exemplary professional conduct
  • Develop and provide insight to the project team on the appropriate level of activities required in the tender, baseline and execution schedules. Activities will need to substantiate the Scope provided by the client.
  • Have the ability to interpret, identify and communicate project control risks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related industry experience in construction scheduling, manpower loading, forecasting and other project control reports
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is an asset
  • JD Edwards Enterprise, ProjectWise and 3D Modeling is an asset
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) and the ability to work with multiple programs
  • Proven progressive experience in scheduling  
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and scheduling reports
  • Foreman and General Foreman experience is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize with experience responding to changing deadlines/priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Must possess current CSTS
