Phoenix Industrial is seeking 16 Ironworker Journeyman or 2nd Year Apprentices to join our project. This is a camp position on a 10 day on 4 day off rotation. Flights and accommodations are provided. 10 hours a day (8 regular, 2 overtime).


Ironworker trades people required to modify, fabricate and erect structural steel components.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Read blueprints and specifications to lay out the work
  • Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Erect and install structural steel/pipe support systems
  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials
  • Work with and signal cranes/heavy equip.
  • Position steel units, align holes and bolt/impact accordingly.
  • Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process
  • Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures

Conditions of this position are as follows:

  • Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept a position must submit to a pre-access Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyman Certificate and/or Interprovincial Red Seal/ 2nd Year Apprentice 
  • CSTS-09
  • Fall-Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket)
  • Aerial Work Platform
